A global month-long x-product social influencer campaign to get people talking about Google’s digital wellbeing tools. We worked with teams worldwide and engaged with 24 influencers from 6 countries to participate in this fitness and wellness challenge using Google Fit products. Results were 600 posts with an audience of 4+ million followers. Let’s start the new year in good shape with unlimited fun.

Design

We designed a Digital Wellbeing Advent-Style Calendar to kickstart the new year for the month of January. Together with fun products like a foldable water bottle, eye mask, mobile phone black out pouch, aromatherapy candle, we packed and presented these goodies in a nice, big box with welcome and challenge cards for the influencers from various countries.

Digital Wellbeing Advent-Style Calendar

We created this Digital Wellbeing Advent-Style Calendar with daily inspiration and the opportunity to use Google’s digital wellbeing tools that they can peel off and share with their followers. The poster is divided into 4 coloured sections (yellow, blue, green and red) which represents how Google x-product tools can improve our physical, mental and digital wellbeing by focusing of getting fit for the new year, sleep better, have a balanced life with technology usage and most importantly, practicing mindfulness in this modern stressful lifestyle.

After peeling off all the challenges from the calendar, the final reveal will be a giant motivational poster with the message ‘2019 is all about YOU. Find time from moments that matter’. On the poster, one can write down their 3 New Year’s resolutions as a constant reminder, based on the 4 main pillars of focus - Fitness, Sleep, Digital Wellbeing and Mindfulness.

#GetFitWithGoogle Digital Wellbeing Pack

We were given a big challenge to design these calendars, pack and recce for products to be sent out before January. Being aware that most people around the world will be on holiday or on leave in December, we needed to race against time and also work back to back with printers, online sellers, logistics, with real time collaboration with Google Mountain View (time difference with Singapore) and other Google offices.

We had a tough time looking for printers in Singapore that were willing to do a big printing job with our timeline. After hunting around and speaking to designer friends, we managed to find a good working printer partner who understands our brief. Next is the recce for suitable products for the 4 main pillar of focus - Fitness, Sleep, Digital Wellbeing and Mindfulness. Here comes our online shopping and product recce experiences working in ad agencies, negotiation skills to get discounts on big buy, seeking help from logistics partners to make sure all of the packages reach Google offices around the world to be delivered to influencers before the Christmas Holiday. Imagine receiving this surprise pack during Christmas. Fun right? This is our second time working with logistics and coordinating the whole process. We have learned so much on which countries has the toughest customs to which products are prohibited in the mail. And yes, we did a cottage industry home packing with hiring packers.

We designed these digital or social media design templates for Google and also for influencers to share on their platform or social media pages. The results was amazing and we managed to generate a few million impressions. At the end of the event, the Top 3 country teams will host local digital wellbeing events for the winning influencers and 5 of their most passionate followers to celebrate their achievement and create another wave of posts. Talk about never ending motivation and social shareability.
